Since 1982, Write-Way Prison Ministries has provided free Bible correspondence courses to incarcerated men and women across Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Iowa, New Jersey, and Indiana. From its home office in Garland, Texas, the ministry has remained committed to one mission: introducing people to Jesus Christ through structured Bible study and personal encouragement.

Step 2: A Bible Lesson Arrives Inside the Facility
Once a student enrolls, whether through a chaplain, another student, a visiting ministry, or by writing directly to Write-Way, the first Bible correspondence course is prepared and mailed.
Inside the course, students receive carefully designed lessons that guide them through Scripture using easy-to-follow readings and study questions. Courses are available in both English and Spanish, making them accessible to a wide range of students.
For many incarcerated individuals, receiving mail is meaningful in itself. Receiving mail that offers hope, purpose, and an invitation to grow spiritually can be even more significant.

Step 3: The Student Begins the Journey
The next step belongs to the student.

Once a lesson is completed, the student mails it back to Write-Way for review.

Dedicated volunteer Bible course graders carefully review each student's work, offering thoughtful, Scripture-based encouragement alongside their feedback. Their goal isn't merely to evaluate answers but to build relationships, answer questions, and remind students that someone genuinely cares about their spiritual growth.
These volunteers serve from the Dallas-Fort Worth area and through partnering churches in multiple states, creating a network of believers who faithfully encourage incarcerated students one lesson at a time.

Step 5: Growth Continues Beyond One Course
